Part-Time Weekend Machine Technician 2

Positions available Friday-Saturday-Sunday

Shifts:  6:00am - 2:00pm; 2:00pm - 10:00 pm; 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

Starting Pay:  $15.00 to $15.40 per hour

 

This position is responsible for operating mechanized equipment used in food production. The machine Technician 2 will typically work on the following equipment: Upright Mixers. This position includes Mixers and Support Mixers in the Mixing Department.

 

Essential Job Duties (Most important job duties explained clearly and concisely)

  • Perform machine set up.

  • Perform machine startup.

  • Perform change-overs as necessary.

  • Perform shut down and clean up procedures.

  • Perform or assist with light preventative maintenance on all equipment.

  • Understand and observe safety rules.

  • Perform all tasks at high efficiency levels.

  • Follow standard operating procedures for all equipment in mixing department.

  • Complete 5S as directed.

  • Enter Batch information in the computer and record Batch ID Number on Mixing Sheet

  • Calculate end times / Change over Times

  • Responsible for following GMP’S

  • Will assist in achieving our SQF Certification on a yearly basis and to be SQF ready at all times.

  • Will follow our HACCP plan and be responsible for Food Safety in regards to your Dough’s, the Department and the Facility.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Good attention to detail is very important. Candidate must have mechanical ability as well as the ability to multi-task. This position requires the skill of being able to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision. Must be able to read and follow a Mixing Batch sheet. Basic computer skills are required.

     

     

    Language Skills (Written, verbal communication skills)

    Must display good written and verbal communication skills. Legible handwriting is required.

     

    Mathematical Skills (Strong, average, weak mathematical skills)

    This position requires average to strong math skills for measuring and weighing of ingredients and calculating dough times.

     

    Machines, Tools, or Equipment Used (List major machines, tools, equipment used and how often they are used – occasionally, frequently, continuously)

    Some basic hand tools. Steel toed shoes, hearing protection and safety eyewear as well as any other personal protective equipment as required

     

    Education and Experience (Minimum and preferred educational requirements, years of experience needed to successfully perform the job – High School or GED, High School plus specialized vocation or technical education, college degree)

    Education: Required: High school diploma or GED.

     

    Experience: No experience required. Preferred one year of Machine Technician experience.
