Job Summary (State overall purpose of the job in 2-3 sentences)

Provides assistance in duties related to keeping the line running smoothly.

 

Essential Job Duties (Most important job duties explained clearly and concisely)

  •          Setup – Provide production run sheets daily to line supervisor, wrapper operator, and fallas operator
  •          Change computer over to current shift.
  •          Check code dates on packages – use run sheet information for product being produced.
  •          Check all case print is correct – use run sheet information.
  •          Change case total board.
  •          Check base cake for appearance.  Make adjustments as necessary.
  •          Check filler supply.
  •          Check that filler percents are correct.
  •          Check that trays are full and free from smeared and broken product.
  •          Ensure tray weight is within specs.
  •          Check product overweight/underweights.
  •          Run check on metal detectors to ensure they are working properly.
  •          Assist with changeover of either cell changes or product and filler changes.
  •          Assist with keeping line bins emptied
  •          Assist with keeping tubs emptied.
  •          Assist supervisor in achieving standard efficiencies by being at standard cost or below on a daily   
  •          Assist with maintenance work orders.
  •          Maintain GMP – by following and setting an example.
  •          Assist with communications to Quality Assurance.
  •          Assist supervisor in completing daily line paperwork.
  •          Maintain a safe work environment by setting the example.
  •          Understand and observe safety rules
  •          May perform other duties as required
