Tyler J. Cook - Senior VP of Cookies & Crackers
Tyler Cook joined Shearer’s more than 20 years ago. He began as a district manager for the company in Springfield, Missouri, in 1992. Two promotions and three years later, he moved to Columbia, South Carolina, as Eastern Regional Manager. In 1996, he relocated to Burlington, Iowa, where he has been leading sales operations for the company ever since.
In his current role as Senior Vice President of Cookies and Crackers, he helps Shearer’s expand its snack portfolio beyond potato chips to achieve retail success with sweet and savory innovations.
Active throughout the industry and his local community, Tyler serves on the Board of Directors of the Private Label Manufacturer’s Association and the Burlington Area Development Foundation. A strong proponent of community involvement, he has volunteered time with United Way, the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club.
Tyler earned his associate of arts degree from Lincoln College in Lincoln, Illinois, in 1989, followed in 1991 by a bachelor of science in Business Administration and Marketing from Southern Illinois University. In 2002, Tyler received his MBA from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
When he’s not at Shearer’s, Tyler loves spending time with his family and may be found outdoors, on a basketball court, or behind a drum set. He played in a rock and roll band in high school, and still enjoys playing drums as well as exercising. He lives in Burlington with his wife Stephanie and their teenage children, Anikka and Tristen.
