Christopher (CJ) Fraleigh - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Christopher (CJ) Fraleigh became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Shearer’s Snacks in 2012. He is responsible for leading the organization and its customers to new levels of growth through contract and private label opportunities. With more than 20 years of consumer goods and food products experience, CJ is a veteran leader with a consistent track record of creating sustained value.

Before joining Shearer’s, CJ most recently served as CEO of Sara Lee North America, a $7 billion division of the global consumer products company. He led a transformation of the company’s culture and operations, which more than doubled the profit, increased market share and improved employee engagement.

Prior to that, CJ spent four years leading General Motors as General Manager of GMC-Buick-Pontiac and as Executive Director of Advertising and Corporate Marketing. With focused strategies and strong leadership, he was instrumental in leading the successful re-branding of Cadillac.

CJ began his career at PepsiCo where he spent 12 years leading various aspects of the company’s beverage business, ultimately serving as Vice President of Colas.

Throughout the consumer products industry, CJ has built a career based on strong results achieved through values. He has had success leading large cross-functional businesses, building brands, innovation and operational excellence.

CJ currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nonni’s Foods and GMA, he previously served on the Boards of Sabre Holdings and Darden restaurants. He remains active in the industry and in his local community.

CJ and his wife Jane have four children. Outside of the office, CJ is passionate about running, camping, and almost anything that brings him outside. He earned his bachelor of science in Industrial Engineering at Lehigh University, and an MBA from Columbia University.
